Here and There
when you aren't used to writing something everyday, it isn't easy to remember.
Plus you add in all the shit i have had to deal with, and i forget more.
Cars body shop fixed there mistakes and left some more. they took the fender off to pain and get to the windsheild washer pump. they fixed what they had left unpainted and the pumps connectors were bad. when i got the Jeep back, i noticed the fender was lower than before. also found overspray on the hood (a lot this time) and found a scratch on the driver's door that they seal coated.
they denied everything but the hood.
the bumper they repainted. it started out flat, supposed to be semi-gloss or satin and now they turned it to gloss....idiots.
they replaced the bad rim that was on the passenger side. being the rim looked 'ugly' as they said, they painted it with paint they mixed; thus now i can't match. as i have noticed, they didn't bother to clear coat it and now it is chipping. they also painted the valve stem.
i plan on painting all the rims myself.
saturday i painted the last fender flair and i think it looks better than the others. i finally did good. the rims and front bumper i think i'm gonna try to paint satin and then clear coat.
my future plans are to replace the front bumper, $500-$750, and the wheels/tires, all 5 = aprox. $650.
when Cars was working on my Jeep, they paid for the rental of a 2005 Chevy Trailblazer. it was ok, but was too much like a mini-van. it had more power than i was used to, but rode like a mini-van that sat up a little. the Trailblazer is taller that the Jeep, but lower to the ground. didn't like it really.
today i dropped the Jeep off at the Jeep body shop this time to get the driver door hing fixed. the Insurance is paying for rental again, this time it's a 2005 Chevy Colorado, 4-door pickup truck. this has more the same feel as the Jeep, but less power. it's a nice truck
