Coyote

the guy in the pic is Joe "Coyote" Duran. the big guy is a comic book character called RipClaw. the picture was taken when we went to the Comic book convention in Chicago in '98. Coyoyte wanted a pic with it and jokingly i told him to grab his crotch....so he did.

he is a crazy strange person.
he is also a good friend...probably says something about me...lol

i met Coyote at my current job and we got along real well. seemed as we both had the passion of comic books and that lead into more conversations.

so one day, Coyote asks me if i have ever wanted to do my own comic? sounds great, but i told him i had NO artistic ability at all. so he asked if i ever thought about writing?

when i was younger i loved to write, but as time went by, i pretty much forgot about it. a comic book?
in less than a week i had a rough draft. he was really shocked but really dug it. the idea was based on one he had for some time with our thoughts combined. we beat it to death and had a nice finished project.
Coyote is the artist, i'm the writer.

when we went to that convention in '98, we were suppose to meet with an artist/writer that had started his own company. well, this guy was then too busy for us.

what happened to it all? the guy we were suppose to meet is now editor of Marvel Comics. we kind of shelved the story.

i always wanted to make some changes, just couldn't find what fit. well, now i have and the story is full of more energy than it ever was. some stuff is staying the same, but there are a lot of changes.

the story was originally called "Hope" and the new title (so far) is "Neverending Hope".
i'll be sharing more as time goes by. might change the comic idea to trade paperback; allows for short story format which could be a good way to get it to take off.
